Knowledge for life:
A workshop on Vedic philosophy
Sunday, 23 September 2012
Maison Onésienne, Rue des Evaux 2,
1213 Onex, Geneva, Switzerland
"The senses have been conditioned by attraction to the pleasant and aversion to the unpleasant: one should not be ruled by them; they are obstacles in the path (towards Truth)." “….. there exists no purifier on earth equal to knowledge; a person who becomes perfect in yoga finds it (the Truth) within himself in course of time.”
Bhagavad Gita
All our actions collectively make up our karma. Since actions happen in the context of forward-moving time, karma also refers to the consequences of the actions. Each action is a learning opportunity to improve the future. Hence, karma can be regarded as continuous experimentation. The more we understand about the context of our actions (i.e. human life, laws of the universe), the more effective can be our learning from our karmic experiments. Vedic knowledge contains great insights into the context of our lives within the universe. With the help of modern science and Vedic wisdom, including Vedic astrology, in this workshop we aim to discover the nature of human life and ways to improve our present and future karma.
